Liebster Blog Award

I've been nominated twice for the Liebster Blog Award going around the internet and I'm so thankful to both the other blogs that nominated me.  Since I've been putting this off, I decided that this week might be a good time to tell you some things about myself anyways and so here it goes.

First of all, a huge thank you to The Nomad Cooks & Acorn Photography for the nominations!

Here are 11 things about myself:

1.  I'm a dreamer, through and through and it shapes everything in my life.

2.  My nails are always painted... it drives me crazy if they aren't.

3.  I was born and raised in a small compound on the Persian Gulf in Saudi Arabia and had a wonderful childhood.

4.  I have a very long list of hobbies that I want to learn to do well, one of those is horseback riding which I am going to take riding lessons for this coming Summer.

5.  Nick and I did a long distance relationship when I lived in Hawaii for a couple years and he stayed here in Oregon.

6.  My ultimate dream is to have a flat in Paris and life there half the year and in Portland the other half.

7.  I have loved Paris since I was a little girl.

8.  I absolutely love blogging.

9.  I love to bake and someday would love to open up my own Patisserie.

10.  I love the rain.

11.  I have a need for travel that I don't think I'll ever outgrow.  It calls to me, it's my passion.

Questions for me from Acorn Photography:

1.  My biggest fear? Getting stuck in a life I don't want.

2.  How many languages do I speak and which ones? I can speak a little bit of a handful of languages.  I can get along in French and Spanish, and can count numbers and small phrases in Arabic and Korean.

3.  My celebrity crush? Kobe Bryant.  I know, I know... but I've always had a thing for him.

4.  If I could go to any time period, which one would it be and why?  To be honest, I don't know that I'd do well in any times before now.  But I always have felt like Ancient Egypt would be really an interesting place (if you happened to be royalty I guess.)

5.  Why did I start blogging?  Because I have always loved to write and travel, and it seemed like a good combination to share to the world.

6.  What are my top 5 favorite movies?  In no particular order: The Mummy, Notting Hill, The Holiday, The Tourist, and Midnight in Paris

7. What genre best describes my taste in music?  I would say Pop and Country.  Recently I'm into French pop including Coeur de Pirate

8.  What is my idea of relaxing?  Traveling.

9.   What is my favorite part of blogging? The connections made with readers and other bloggers.

10.  What is my dream job?  I really don't know yet but something that allow me to travel and makes me feel fulfilled.

11.  Did I have as a hard time as I did coming up with these questions?  Yes!
