{Favorite Places} Westminster, London

I'm obviously in a European mood this week so we'll continue on with London!
But before that, I'm involved in a couple giveaways currently, so head over to these great blogs to enter!

And now on to London...
I'm definitely a fan of London and I love the vibe of the city, but one of my favorite things about it is that each area of the city is so different from the next.  In our trips to London, we've primarily spent most of our time in the Kensington/Notting Hill/Mayfair areas of the city but another area that I love and would love to explore more is the Westminster area.  The home to Westminster Abbey, Parliament and views over the river of the London Eye, this area of the city is a bustling commercial zone.

It's where Big Ben towers over Londontown and you see men with wigs walking around Parliament.  It's a place in London where you truly know you're in England and you see the history of this country first hand.  I always enjoy wandering around here.  Our first trip to London on our honeymoon, we were wandering around in this area when a huge rain storm struck.  We were soaked in minutes but the thrill of being caught in a rainstorm in London along the River Thames under Big Ben felt soothingly genuinely British and I revel in that memory still today.
