I still find myself thinking back frequently about our time in Iceland in November.
It truly was one of those trips that captured me and I think about it often, so much to take in, such a seemingly exotic location compared to mainland Europe. I think also that we booked it so randomly, it made it even more of an adventure.

While Reykjavik for the most part leaves something to be desired (not exaclty the cute little colorful buildings I was hoping for), the main little town area is charming. Above it, sits this gorgeous cathedral, an icon on the Reykjavik horizon. Built to mimic the Icelandic landscape, this amazing architectural monument is breathtaking. We happened to be there around 10am while the sun was still rising and the colors streaking across the sky behind the church made it even more magical.
The Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral is truly an incredible site.
