New Orleans: Day 2

After a few days break, I'll be getting back into my posts on New Orleans over our Christmas break.

Our second day in New Orleans, we started our day with beignets again at a little place called Cafe Beignet.  After wandering around the French quarter a bit that morning, we took the old streetcar to Uptown/Garden District and St. Charles Avenue where all the gorgeous old Southern mansions are.  We enjoyed seeing this area as it was so different than the French Quarter and felt so very "Southern."
