{Favorite Places} DUMBO, Brooklyn

Following on the heals of my travel guide for New York City yesterday, I decided to add another to my {Favorite Places} series that just so happens to be in NYC.

I've been thinking about New York City lately and what a great trip we had there in November.  One of the places I really liked and would love to explore more was the DUMBO area of Brooklyn.  Just across the Brooklyn Bridge, this is old factories converted to lofts and little shops and restaurants.  Give me brick buildings, exposed beams and little cobblestone streets and I'm hooked and that's exactly what DUMBO brings to life.  I quite enjoyed this area walking around and would love to explore more of it on a future trip to New York.  Plus, what a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline is found here.

  2. Beautiful pictures! TV shows and movies about NYC always make it seem like if you aren't in Manhattan then you really don't matter as a person, but you don't get the gorgeous views of the island unless you cross the river.
